As the school year comes to a close, we’re celebrating all of our LIVLoved Doulas’ little ones who are stepping into their next chapter of learning and growing. Whether they’re heading to preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or crossing an even bigger milestone, each transition is a reminder of how quickly these early years move and how beautifully our children rise to each new stage.

These moments aren’t just milestones for our kids—they’re milestones for parents, too. Every new classroom, new teacher, and new skill learned reflects the love, guidance, and steady presence you’ve poured into them. Parenting is a journey of letting go in small, meaningful ways, trusting that the foundation you’ve built will carry them forward.

Here’s to the families who have cheered through first steps, first words, first days, and now first graduations. And here’s to the children who continue to show us what resilience, curiosity, and growth look like.

Caring for Yourself During Postpartum

The postpartum period brings big physical, emotional, and relational changes. While welcoming a new baby can be joyful, it can also feel overwhelming in ways many parents don’t expect. At LIVLoved, we often see families reach out only after they’re already exhausted — and we want you to know that caring for yourself from the very beginning is both allowed and essential.

Our relationship‑based care model centers the goodness of fit between families and the doulas who support them. All of our doulas are trained and certified in postpartum care, and we intentionally match families with providers whose strengths and communication styles align with their needs. This helps families feel safe, understood, and supported from the start.

Your care includes postpartum doula support blended with mental health check‑ins so you’re held both practically and emotionally. We offer perinatal mood and anxiety screenings (PMADs), education on emotional changes after birth, and support for families of babies with different abilities. Doulas provide hands‑on guidance in newborn care, feeding, sleep, and early development, along with resources and warm referrals to trusted mental health and community supports when needed.

As you prepare for or move through the early weeks, the Quick Guide for New Parents offers simple, one‑page support on newborn sleep norms, safe formula prep, summer heat safety, and planning for postpartum care before baby arrives — practical tools to pair with the relational support you receive from your doula.

Whether you’re expecting or already home with your baby, you don’t have to navigate this season alone. Caring for yourself during postpartum is an important part of caring for your family, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

LIVLoved at Broad Rock Career Day: Inspiring Future Helpers

LIVLoved Family Support spent the morning of April 17th with Broad Rock Elementary students, introducing them to doula care and the many ways support strengthens families and communities. Through interactive demonstrations and conversations, students explored how doulas provide physical care, emotional grounding, and evidence‑based guidance to families welcoming a new baby.

Rather than focusing on tasks alone, we centered the why behind our work, helping students understand that caregiving is both a meaningful career path and an everyday practice of showing up for the people in their village. Students learned how newborns experience the world, practiced gentle caregiving skills, and reflected on how to support someone experiencing big emotions.

Their curiosity, empathy, and eagerness to connect the lessons to their own families made the morning especially powerful. Career Day offered a meaningful opportunity to spark interest in compassion‑based professions while also teaching students the everyday importance of empathy, advocacy, and being a steady support for the people they love.

About LIVLoved

LIVLoved provides compassionate, relationship-based care for parents and caregivers of children ages 0–5. Our services include doula support, virtual coaching, and infant massage education, all designed to encourage, educate, and empower families while promoting confident caregiving.

Our team brings specialized experience supporting families with NICU and medically fragile infants, those at risk for or with a history of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), parents managing chronic medical challenges, families with multiples or sibling transitions, and those navigating perinatal or infant loss.
