MEET ROSA!
Rosa is a devoted mother of two and a compassionate postpartum doula with over 10 years of experience. She is trained in breastfeeding education, postpartum depression (PPD) support, and premature infant care. Her own cesarean birth experiences inspire her to provide gentle, informed care during the fourth trimester. Rosa offers evening postpartum doula support to help families feel confident and cared for. She joined LIVLoved in March 2025! |

One key event was the Virginia Black Maternal Health Summit, hosted by Birth in Color, which focused on the theme of First Class Care. This gathering united healthcare professionals, advocates, and community members to explore solutions for addressing the disparities in Black maternal health. |

This year marked our third consecutive attendance at the summit, where we connected with fellow advocates and continued our mission to challenge the inequities within the maternal health system. However, the work doesn't stop with attending events—it’s an ongoing effort to ensure Black maternal health is a year-round priority. We call on individuals, organizations, and policymakers to join us. Support Black-owned maternal health services, advocate for policies that ensure First Class Care for all, and take action to address the disparities that continue to impact Black birthing people. Together, we can build a future where every Black mama receives the care and respect she deserves.

Partnering with Purpose:
LIVLoved x Little Hands VirginiaLIVLoved is excited to announce our new partnership with Little Hands Virginia, a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential items to children from birth to age three in the Greater Richmond area. This collaboration enhances our ability to support families in need and offers our community an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause. Currently, Little Hands Virginia has an urgent need for donations of new or gently used clothing for infants and toddlers aged 0–3 months, as well as new toddler toothbrushes. These items are vital for ensuring the health and well-being of the youngest members of our community. We invite our families and supporters to join us in supporting this initiative. Donations can be made directly to Little Hands Virginia, which helps provide essential resources to families in need.
