This fall, a couple of LIVLoved’s contractors joined Telisha at the Jackson Ward Foundation BLCK Street Summit to invest in their professional growth. The summit covered skills like storytelling, building scalable systems, and sustainable work practices—tools that help our team provide families with practical support, evidence-based strategies, and compassionate care.

Reflections from the team:

• Milan shared that being surrounded by Black entrepreneurs reignited her drive and challenged her to think bigger. She walked away inspired to expand her vision and create stronger plans for the next 5 to 10 years.

• Jabrita reflected on the importance of good work: leading with quality, intention, and consistency while remembering that taking care of ourselves, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, is essential to showing up fully for the families we serve.

We celebrate our team’s commitment to growth and the ways it enhances our daily support for families.

As part of Postpartum Support Virginia’s Lunch & Learn series, Telisha joined practitioners to explore the power of touch, emotional connection, and self-care in supporting new parents. She discussed how physical touch, emotional connection, and self-care support recovery, bonding, and emotional well-being for new parents.

This fall, LIVLoved was honored to connect with families across Richmond at two special community events.

At Special Nights at the Children’s Museum of Richmond – Chesterfield, we shared the benefits of infant massage education for babies from birth to 12 months and for children of any age with special needs. Infant massage supports healthy circulation, digestion, and sleep, while helping to ease gas and colic. It also strengthens emotional bonds, fosters trust, and reminds us that touch is something we do with our children—not to them.

We also joined Life Church RVA’s Trunk Fest, a fun and family-centered event filled with decorated trunks, games, and treats. Our team connected with parents, shared resources, and celebrated the joy of community togetherness.

Through events like these, LIVLoved continues to nurture community by sharing practical tools, compassionate care, and meaningful connections with families.
